Fall seasons wrap up in November, and that is when coaches and booster clubs start looking for a room for the end-of-season banquet. Here is what to sort out early, and how The Bentley handles each part of the night.

Count families, not just players

A team of 25 can easily become 100 once parents, siblings and coaches are on the list. The Imperial Ballroom seats up to 480 banquet-style, so a whole program or a full league fits in one room. A single team’s dinner fits the Empire Room and Grand Gallery, Imperial Ballroom II or The Courtyard, which each seat 70 to 80.

Plan the highlight reel

Screens drop from the ceiling and the audio-visual system is built into the room, so the season video and the slideshow run without anyone bringing a projector. Send the file ahead so it is ready to play when the program starts.

Give the awards a stage

A head table and dais at the front of the room give coaches a place to call names and hand out trophies where everyone can see. Work out the running order early: dinner first, then awards, keeps younger guests at the table.

Pick a menu that feeds a team

The Bentley Catering cooks on-site, with plated dinners or buffets for any headcount. Buffets usually suit a team crowd, with plenty to go around and less waiting.

Make it easy for families

We are on Biddle Avenue in Wyandotte, minutes from the freeways, with free on-site parking. One team handles the room, the A/V and the food, so the coaches get to enjoy the night too.

Reserve the date

Banquet season is short, so reach out early. Send your team, your preferred date and an estimated headcount, and we will put together the room, the menu and the A/V. Tours run seven days a week by appointment.
